John Kurzman- President

Mr. John Kurzman attended Utica Tech in New York majoring in Mechanical Engineering and brings over 35 years of experience in the construction industry to the table. John is a licensed contractor in the state of Florida since 1971 and has had “hands on” experience in all phases of construction. John excels in real estate construction and development specializing in warehouse construction. John has successfully managed projects from concept to completion. When not working, John is a present member on the Dade County Board of Rules and Appeals. Past civic duties also include City Councilman (elected) 1979-2003 for the City of North Miami Beach (NMB) and past president of the Dade County League of cities and the NMB Chamber of Commerce. John is a true family man in every sense of the word. Happily married for the past 51 years to his wife Rhoda, they have 2 kids between
them, and 7 grandchildren. On the weekends you can find John on one of his boats or spending time with his family and friends.

Steve Korfin- Vice President

Mr. Steve Korfin is a graduate of Florida State University majoring in Communications with a minor in Business administration. Steve has been working side by side with John Kurzman for the past 25 years. A state licensed general contractor since 1984 with “on the Job” experience in all phases of construction; Steve is extraordinarily diligent in his supervisory duties and his insistence in the quality of the work he turns out. His experience lies in his estimating skills, negotiating skills, subcontractor management, and expeditious completion on construction projects. Not only does he bring the required standards of responsibility, commitment and honesty to his projects- but he makes it a priority to do so without reservation, whatever it takes to meet the needs of his clients. His attitude to every request and issue is “not a problem” and this remains his steady and consistent answer through all phases of a project..

Andrew Yanowitz - Project Manager/Job Superintendant

Andrew Yanowitz has been a member of the A-Z Blds team since July 2005. His first year was spent interning in the office and in the field as general laborer. For the past 4 years, Andrew has gone from a carpenter's helper working at our various projects to Project Manager working on seven different projects during his first calendar year. His skills include but are not limited to drywall work, installation of doors and windows, demolition work, concrete work, painting, installation of bar joists and miscellaneous carpentry. His other responsibilities included permit processing, managing subcontractors, meeting with City and County officials and inspectors, arranging material deliveries and working closely with the Architects and Designers. He has since been promoted to Job Superintendant and now works closely with the estimating and accounting department. Andrew is very knowledgeable with reading blueprints, material take offs, estimating bids and scheduling. All of his projects have been done in a timely fashion. His leadership skills and his professionalism have made him an intricate part of the A-Z Team!!
